Continued prayers of healing and comfort for the Rev. Randy Broger as(Oceanside) recovers from two broken wrists and is now undergoing therapy daily to regain mobility and use of his wrists.

The Revs. Joseph and Helen Doh, interim co-pastors at the Korean Church of Long Island, are delighted to announce the engagement of their son, James Doh, to Michele Song. The couple will be married on June 14, 2008, in Oceanside, California. Please pray for James and Michele as they begin their life together and for Joseph and Helen as they travel to California to participate in the wedding.

A welcome to the newest member of the Presbytery of Long Island family: Naomi Kristi Teter was born on April 14, 7 lbs. 13 oz, 20” long. She is the daughter of the Rev. Aaron Teter and the Rev. Ayana Teter, who serve as associate pastor at Mattituck. Although she was in the NICU in Stony Brook Hospital for most of the first week of her life following what has been described as a “seizure event”, all tests were normal. Naomi is now home with Mom and Dad and big sister Evangeline. The Teter family is grateful for the prayers of a supportive community during Naomi’s first difficult week and asks for continued prayers for her well-being and that of her parents as they embark on the challenge of parenting a newborn and a toddler.

Prayers of healing and for a full recovery for Elder Jane Troncoso (Pt. Jefferson) who was in a car accident on March 27th. She has had surgery on her shoulder and on her back this week.

Prayers of comfort for the family of Deborah Scott as they mourn the loss of their mother. Deborah was the wife of the late Rev. Robert I. Scott (Greenport).

Prayers of comfort for the family of Jan Wiznowski (Freeport) as they mourn the loss of mother and spouse. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 18th at 10 a.m., at the First Presbyterian Church in Freeport.

Prayers of comfort for the Rev. Choong Sik Ahn and family as they mourn the loss of Rev. Ahn's mother.

Prayers of healing and for a speedy recovery for the Rev. Ed Myers who fell and broke several ribs.

Congratulations to the Revs. Carol and Dennis Maher on the birth of their first grandchild, Sonja Sage Mankes born February 13, 2008 weighing 7lbs 4 ounces.

We Celebrate and thank God for the Westminster Presbyterian Church, West Islip, as they celebrate their 50th Anniversary Year!

We celebrate and thank God for the Spring Community Presbyterian Church as they celebrate their 125th Church Anniversary with a special worship/rededication service on Saturday, October 27th, 2007 ,at 5:00 p.m., with the Rev. Nancy Jennings leading worship. A community potluck supper will follow the worship service.
