The Revs. Joseph and Helen Doh, interim co-pastors at the Korean Church of Long Island, are delighted to announce the engagement of their son, James Doh, to Michele Song. The couple will be married on June 14, 2008, in Oceanside, California. Please pray for James and Michele as they begin their life together and for Joseph and Helen as they travel to California to participate in the wedding.
A welcome to the newest member of the Presbytery of Long Island family: Naomi Kristi Teter was born on April 14, 7 lbs. 13 oz, 20” long. She is the daughter of the Rev. Aaron Teter and the Rev. Ayana Teter, who serve as associate pastor at Mattituck. Although she was in the NICU in Stony Brook Hospital for most of the first week of her life following what has been described as a “seizure event”, all tests were normal. Naomi is now home with Mom and Dad and big sister Evangeline. The Teter family is grateful for the prayers of a supportive community during Naomi’s first difficult week and asks for continued prayers for her well-being and that of her parents as they embark on the challenge of parenting a newborn and a toddler.
